''If We Put Our Heads Together'' is a 1969 vocal duet studio album by the American country singer-songwriters, Loretta Lynn and Ernest Tubb. This was Lynn and Tubb's third studio album together. Their previous albums were released in 1965 and 1967. The lead single from this album, "Who's Gonna Take the Garbage Out", was a Top 20 Country hit in 1969. It was the duo's first Top 40 hit together since 1966. The second single was the title track. The album included 11 tracks, one of which was written by Lynn, none by Tubb. The album peaked at #19 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart in 1969. This was the duo's last studio album together, although Decca later released a compilation album of their hit duets together in the early 1970s. ==Track listing== #"Who's Gonna Take the Garbage Out" (Johnny Tillotson, Teddy Wilburn) #"Holding on to Nothing" (Jerry Chesnut) #"Somewhere Between" (Merle Haggard, Bonnie Owens) #"I Chased You Till You Caught Me" (Wayne D.
